West Hill, one of the famous three W’s, opened in 1909. The instigator behind the course was Mrs Marguerite Lubbock, who the story goes, wanted to play at weekends so decided to have her own course built.
It was designed by Carnoustie native, Cuthbert Butchart. The club is perhaps most well known for hosting the Father & Son tournament, which has run since 1931 and comprises 128 pairs playing foursomes match play.
