Tyrrells Wood has a downland/parkland character and was originally designed by James Braid, five-time Open Champion, laid out by Alan Gow, with additional changes by Harry Colt.

The Grade II listed clubhouse was built by the Cunliffe family in 1880. The club formed in 1924, attracted 400 members by 1928, and now has just under 600 members who regularly play and enjoy the views across the Surrey Hills.
