Malden Golf Club began in 1893 as Raynes Park Golf Club. When the owner of the land sold it for housing, the members moved it to its present site in 1925.
The inaugural match was between Harry Vardon and Abe Mitchell against Ted Ray and Alec Herd, four of the great professionals of the time. Malden is a tree-lined parkland course with the Beverley and Coombe Brooks winding their way through the terrain.
