Originally 9 holes laid out by Edward Turle in 1897, James Braid extended it to 18 holes in 1923, before Harry Colt put the finishing touches of three new holes in 1935.

Set amongst 765 acres of wonderful Surrey heathland, in recent years the club has hosted Regional Qualifying for the Open, both the Boys’ and Men’s Home Internationals, and the English Amateur Open. Hankley celebrated 125 years in 2022.
