Originally owned by Chertsey Abbey in the Middle Ages, Foxhills was really put on the map in the 18th century with the arrival of Charles James Fox, the politician after whom the club is named.
The estate was turned into a golf club by Aer Lingus in 1975 before the Hayton family acquired the club in 1983. Now a country club and resort with three golf courses, including two Championship 18-hole layouts.
